Pros and cons of working out with your partner
A lot of couples opt to work out together, be it at the gym, over a game of tennis or even over a walk in the park. Working out together tends to keep couples motivated and also helps them spend quality time together.
However, exercising together is not always advantageous. There are pros and cons to this as well. We list a few of them here...
PROS
The biggest advantage of exercising together for working couples is getting that much needed `us time'.

Heading out for a workout as a couple ensures quality time together.
It helps staying motivated. Working out with one's partner brings out that healthy competitive spirit, which in turn motivates each to work out better and stay in shape.
A busy life can also induce stress in relationships, but it can be kept at bay by working out and spending time tog ether, regularly. Exercise releases happy hormones in the body and that reflects in your relationship.
When partners work out together, they can also help each other during the exercises. It works best because the couple knows one another's strengths and weaknesses. So, the assurance and motivation feels good.

Parents who work out together can be a positive influence on their children.
The fact that they choose to keep fit ness as one of their priorities also ensures that the children will grow up in an active and motivated environment, which is a requirement for today's fast food generation.
CONS
One of the main disadvantages of working out together is that one might become a nag while trying to motivate and push the other to work out.
It might get a little frustrating trying to co-ordinate each other's schedules, especially if it's a working couple. To get that common one-hour window every day for exercise might become challenging.
Irregularities in schedules, where one of the spouses/partners chooses to skip may also tend to influence the other to skip the work out session.
Working out together might not be a good option for partners who already spend a lot of time together. There are times when one would like to take a break from the other.
